Birds of Oklahoma does not require an account, does not run advertising, and does not use analytics or tracking cookies. The site does not collect names, email addresses, or other personal information from visitors, except when you choose to email us directly (see Contact, below) — in that case, we only have whatever information you include in that email.
Like virtually every web server, the hosting infrastructure that serves this site may log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. This is standard server-log data, not used to identify individual visitors, and is not sold or shared with third parties.
Cookies
This site does not currently set cookies or use any tracking technology. If that changes in the future — for example, if analytics or advertising services are introduced — this policy will be updated first to disclose it.
Third-party links and content
Some pages link to external sites (Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, and similar reference sources) or use photographs credited to third-party photographers under Creative Commons licenses — see the Photography Credits page. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of external sites you may visit from a link on this site.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience nature and wildlife reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Since we don't collect or store personal information beyond what you voluntarily send us by email, there's generally nothing to request, correct, or delete. If you have a privacy question or concern, including under California's CCPA/CPRA or any other applicable state privacy law, contact us at the address below and we'll respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if we introduce analytics, advertising, or a mailing list — we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
